Arriving in Costa Rica

Arrive at San José International Airport, your gateway to this tropical adventure.
Step 2
Journey from San José
Domestic Flight:
Catch a quick flight with a local airline, such as Sansa Airlines or Green Airways, to Puerto Jimenez, the nearest town to Luna Lodge.
Charter Flight:
For a more direct route, opt for a charter flight from San José to Carate Beach with Aerocaribe, Fly Adventures or Carmen Air, where you will be picked up by Luna Lodge staff and driven up to the lodge.
Rental Car:
Prefer to drive? Enjoy the scenic drive with a rental car from San José to Puerto Jimenez, taking in the stunning diversity of Costa Rica’s landscapes.
Bus:
For a more budget-friendly option, take a bus from San José to Puerto Jimenez, offering an affordable and authentic travel experience.

Final Leg to Luna Awakening Academy
Private Transfer:
We can arrange a private vehicle to take you from Puerto Jimenez directly to Luna Lodge.
Colectivo Taxi:
Public colectivo taxis are an option, depending on availability. Please check with us for the current status.
Direct Charter Flight:
Direct charter flights from Puerto Jimenez to Carate Beach are available. We would love to help you arrange this option.
For guests arriving at Carate Beach via colectivo or charter flight, we will arrange a pickup to bring you directly to the lodge.
