What can I expect to learn during the 200-hour course?

Do we get days off during the course?
Yes, there will be scheduled time off. The detailed schedule will be discussed in person when we’re all together.
How do you fit 200 hours in 21 days?

What styles of yoga will I learn at Luna Awakening Academy?

Requirements and Preparation
Can I attend if I’m a beginner?Yes, beginners are welcome. However, we strongly recommend familiarizing yourself with the different yoga styles and topics covered in our training before coming.
I don’t think I want to teach yoga, but I want to deepen my practice; can I still attend this course?Absolutely. This course is ideal for anyone looking to deepen their connection with yoga, healing, and themselves, whether or not they intend to teach yoga formally.
Are there any assignments or study required prior to attending the course?Yes. Upon acceptance into the program, you will receive an email outlining the required reading and other pre-training activities that need to be completed before the course starts.
Is there a recommended reading list? Do we have to read all of the books before coming?Yes, there is a required reading list. You will receive the list upon acceptance into the program. Our teaching philosophy is guided by the book “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz.
Registration and Certification
Will I be registered as a Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance at the end of the program?You will receive a Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teacher Certificate. To become a registered yoga teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, you will need to complete the registration process separately. Learn more about certification here.
Will I get certified in Reiki 1?Yes, Reiki 1 certification is available as an optional add-on.
What is the cost of the teacher training?The teacher training costs $2000 plus accommodation. You can find the complete pricing details here.
What is the payment/cancellation policy?Upon acceptance into the program, the applicant must pay a non-refundable deposit of $500 to secure their space in the program. This deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances.
50% of the remaining balance is due 60 days before the start of the program, and the remaining payment will be due 30 days before your arrival. The course should be paid in full before your arrival. Scholarships and Financial Support
Are there scholarships or financial aid options available for students?Yes, we provide scholarships for one student from Costa Rica per training. Do you have internet access at Luna Lodge?What kind of currency should I bring? Is there an ATM nearby?There is no ATM near Luna Lodge. We accept credit cards, US dollars, and Costa Rican Colones. Most businesses in Costa Rica accept US dollars.
Is there laundry service available at Luna Lodge?Yes, laundry services are available for a fee.
What electric outlets are available at Luna Lodge?Luna Lodge is powered by hydro-electric and solar energy. The voltage is 110 volts, so visitors from North America do not need an adapter.
Are there restaurants, shops, etc., around Luna Lodge?Luna Lodge is an all-inclusive resort with no nearby restaurants or shops.
